Lagness Road

Street guide, Pagham

A road running north from Pagham towards Runcton and the A27, passing through flat arable farmland. Lagness Road connects the village to the wider road network and is one of the routes used by commuters heading to Chichester or the A27. The road has a rural character, with fields on either side and scattered farmsteads. Traffic can be fast on the straight sections, and the road has no footpath for much of its length. Lagness Road marks the northern agricultural hinterland of Pagham, a reminder that the village sits in a farming landscape as well as a coastal one.
