Church Lane
Street guide, Pagham
A quiet lane running through the historic heart of Pagham, past St Thomas a Becket Church and into the older part of the village. Church Lane has a rural character, with flint walls, mature hedgerows and glimpses of the church tower through the trees. Properties along the lane include older cottages, converted farm buildings and some more recent houses set back behind established gardens. The lane is narrow in places and discourages fast driving. It connects the village centre to the footpaths leading towards the harbour and the lagoon. Church Lane is the most characterful street in Pagham, preserving something of the village's agricultural past.
