Summer Lane Area
Residential road with a mix of bungalows and modern houses, allotments nearby
The residential area along and around Summer Lane, one of the principal roads running through Pagham. Summer Lane connects the B2166 in the north to the older village core in the south, and properties along its length range from interwar bungalows to modern detached houses. The road is straight and relatively wide by Pagham standards, and it carries a fair amount of local traffic. Side roads branch off into quiet residential closes and cul-de-sacs. Allotments along Summer Lane are well used by local growers. The area has a settled, residential character without the historic charm of the old village core or the coastal exposure of the beach area. It is convenient for accessing both the village amenities and the main road to Bognor Regis.
