Nyetimber

Modern residential area with estates built from the 1970s onwards, suburban in feel

The area north and west of Pagham village, straddling the boundary between Pagham and Bognor Regis. Nyetimber has grown considerably in recent decades, with modern housing estates extending across what was once open farmland. The area takes its name from the historic Nyetimber estate, though the connection to the past is largely nominal. Nyetimber Lane runs through the area and connects to the B2166. The housing is predominantly modern, with detached and semi-detached properties built from the 1970s onwards. A small parade of shops on Nyetimber Lane provides convenience shopping, a takeaway and a hairdresser. Nyetimber sits between the older village of Pagham to the south and the built-up edge of Bognor Regis to the north, giving it a suburban character distinct from the rest of the parish.
