Aldwick Border
Quiet residential streets on the Aldwick boundary with spacious mid-century housing
The western fringe of Pagham where the parish meets Aldwick, a residential area between Bognor Regis and Pagham. This border zone is characterised by quiet residential streets, bungalows and detached houses built mainly in the mid-twentieth century. The area does not have a strong identity of its own but benefits from proximity to both the Pagham countryside and the shops and services of Bognor Regis. Craigweil House, a now-demolished mansion where King George V convalesced in 1929, stood in the Aldwick area nearby. The streets are typically wide and well maintained, with generous gardens reflecting the spacious layout of the original developments. Residents here often identify with both Pagham and Aldwick depending on the context.
